On September 30, 2013, I went on a trip to Poland with the stratum.
"Before the trip to Poland I had a lot of worries. Will I respond to sights? Will I manage far from home? I was lucky I was not alone. Special friends and teachers I felt it was not impossible as I thinking it was passible. So cruel to other human beings? In the forest a light breeze but I felt, it was not just an ordinary breeze, but a breeze of the murdered victims. "I'm serious about crying, but the print did not come out ... but I will not forget the chilling atmosphere that Biar had, nor the sadness.
This is what I wrote in the summary booklet of a trip to Poland in 2004, delivery 115 of Makif and Beer Sheva.
During the trip we visited many synagogues and cemeteries, we visited areas of the Warsaw Ghetto and also at 18 Mila Street, where was the bunker of Mordechai Anielewicz and the Warsaw Ghetto uprising. And for heroism. I'm really asking for the exiles and Holocaust survivors. Almost every family of my grandmother's was murdered.
Today the most meaningful about the journey is Friday prayers at the Nozick Synagogue in Warsaw during a beacon Served as a stable.
Escape story:
Raya Rapaport Grandma's mother who was a very strong woman, when the last train approached a big slow walk, she picked up all the belongings and threw to the train, which was completely up to 0 seat, then picked up my grandmother's grandmother and threw to the train - the passengers caught. Then my grandmother's brother I was the eldest and when she came to pick up my grandmother who was then a 9 month old baby she was the state of exhaustion and overthrew my grandmother the railroad, in sons an old man who that night managed to pick up my grandmother before the article ran over her- many years Many. My grandmother suffered from back pain and had a blue mark on her back .. After that my grandmother's mother grabbed the door handle and went with the train, while walking the passengers pulled her in and that way they managed to escape. My grandmother's father went to war with Soviet forces and did not return until many years after the war. I do not like the train were caught and murdered or sent to the Minsk ghetto.
There were relatives who could not escape because of their age or who believed it were rumors and were sent to the ghetto. Entering the Minsk Ghetto, my great-grandfather the confused Rapaport was murdered when he refused to hand over the jewelry to a Nazi officer - I got these in my head. His wife Malka was murdered along with several other relatives in the shooting pits near the village of Ozlan, which was a Jewish village until the war. Her dead daughter Galina came with the partisans along with her two daughters and her second daughter Maria who was a sister went on a mine, her two daughters also died. It is not clear what happened to their owners. Yuri brothers survived the battle and was unfortunately crippled. His wife and only son were murdered in the ghetto.
Some of my relatives fled to the Ural Mountains in central Russia and some to special values in Belarus. There were also those who returned ... Everyone who returned was killed on the spot or sent to a concentration camp. The last of the murdered were murdered in May 1943 during the liquidation of the Minsk ghetto. Today there is a monument above the place where relatives were murdered in the Ozlan pits. Some were wounded and suffocated to death by a hotel and some were rescued by relatives who came to take them out after the Nazis left others.
I am a member of the first family to enlist in the Israel Defense Forces.
